Metaphor: When one thing is said to be another. Example: The sun is an orange balloon escaping from the grip of our universe
Personification:Giving human characteristics to something non human ( or not alive ). Example: "A host, of golden daffodills; Beside the lake, beneath the trees, Fluttering and dancing in the breeze."
Onomatopoeia: A word that sounds like the sound it is describing. Example: Click, bang.
